March came and went and I can't find any pictures so its safe to say it was pretty uneventful!

April was CRAZY busy!!! This spring we seem to have been on the road a lot!! We did have a lot of fun with our friends in April. One weekend Lacey, Finley & Rex came up and spent the weekend in Fort Worth. The kids had a ton of fun playing, the mama's got a lot of gossip time and somehow the dads got the entire weekend at the ranch to do who knows what!! :) We of course had to take Finney "as Mo calls her" to ride the train. Lacey and I laughed so hard noticing that they either couldn't get enough of each other or they totally ignored each other....guess that's 2 year olds! A couple of weekends later we went to Houston and spent the weekend with Courtney and Collin for some Easter fun. Again the dads were at the ranch enjoying a kid free and melt down free weekend! (I think they owe us one!) The kids played and had so much fun but Morton's favorite was going to the Easter Egg hunt and getting to see the Easter Bunny, this kid has NO fear. I loved spending time with Courtney and loved watching our kids play. I need to dig around at moms house and find pictures of Courtney and I at that age. I can honestly say that Courtney and I have a picture together at EVERY stage of life starting with day one. The next weekend was Easter and it was so busy! We celebrated at the Campbells on Saturday with a gigantic lunch and Easter egg hunt. On Sunday we went to church and Morton's outfit wouldn't stay buttoned so it looked like he had on a long dress....Casey loved that!! Then we did another Easter egg hunt, lunch and swimming at Kay Kays house. Morton LOVES London and Kinley or as he says "Lonon and Kinney"! They have so much fun together and it reminds me of when Heather and I were little. Needless to say by the end of April we were WORN out and ready for a weekend at home!!!

SOOO excited for the train!

Little Lacey, I mean Finley and Morton :)

Hoping we get to use this on their engagement video!! :)

JANUARY & FEBRUARY weren't too eventful. Honestly, we were ok with that since the holiday season was so busy! Soon after Christmas to get out of the house we went to the Stockyards with Uncle Mo and Aunt Jelly. After some shopping and walking around Morton saw a horse with a stage coach hooked to the back....of course we had to ride it! Casey and Uncle Mo were embarrassed but eventually got over it, Morton thought it was great!! In February it SNOWED, and SNOWED, and SNOWED!!!! We were trapped in the house it seemed like forever. Morton loved playing in it but loved it even more when Casey would throw snowballs at the window- he would laugh so hard! He also LOVED sledding down the hill with Aunt Jelly in a storage bin. No wonder he loves them so much!! :) I can't forget Valentines Day he started his new school. He did so good. He walked right in and never looked back which as a mom made me feel GREAT!!!

He used all the quarters that we had riding the different rides.

Pint size stage coach!!

Enjoying the Stockyards!!

Morton loved the stagecoach ride around the Stockyards!

DECEMBER as usual was extra busy with the holidays and Morton being SO excited about Santa and presents. We hosted Casey's family here in Fort Worth for the Ott Christmas. They were kind enough to drive from the Austin area to come to our home, Casey and I really appreciated it! That was only my second time to cook a "full" holiday dinner and although it was a lot of work I think that Casey and I made a good team!! I did most of the cooking and he did most of the dishes!! This year Dustin and Kelly were with the Campbells so mom and dad came and stayed with us. It wasn't our traditional Christmas but it was perfect in its own way!! The best part was seeing Mortons face light up when he saw his gifts waiting for him!! Everything around our house was/is trains, so when he saw the riding train he went NUTS!!! He rode it all day, LITERALLY ALL DAY, until the battery died around 6:30 that evening. To finish off the month we celebrated New Years Eve with the Spikes in Lampasas and had so much fun. The kids loved feed Big Boy and the other cows and riding around. Morton LOVED the four wheeler and couldn't get enough of it, I'm sure there is one in our future! Morton and Finley are so good together, they either can't get enough playing together or they totally ignore each other! The one thing they both love to do is eat snacks!!! :) It was such a great ending to the year!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

November

NOVEMBER was a busy month! Morton celebrated his second birthday!! It seems like yesterday and soon enough we will be celebrating his third. We went to ICE and had family and friends over to celebrate the day! Morton LOVED his train table and getting to play with his buddies. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our life that love us and Morton so much!!! We also went to the Ranch for Thanksgiving with the entire family. Morton had SO much fun being with all the cousins and riding for hours on the Polaris. Everyone took turns driving him and the other kiddo's around.

TRICK OR TREAT

The cutest skunk ever!! I loved his costume and once I got him in it he couldn't stop laughing at himself in the mirror!

I knew it was time to go home when he could no longer carry his bag and had to drag it!

After one too many pieces of candy!
